How can you vote for Eliot Spitzer if he is for gay marriage?

Everybody in New York needs to make this decision this election. If you are for gay marriage, vote for Eliot Spitzer and the other candidates for it. If you are against it, you DAMNED WELL BETTER vote against Spitzer and every other candidate that is for gay marriage. What world are you leaving for your children. I do not want gay marriage, gay civil unions, etc. I do not want my children growing up with such garbage. As such, I am a one issue guy until that issue is off the table once and for all. Calm down just a bit Big Chief. My guess is anyone who's as homophobic as you has got to be dealing with some real issues of his own sexuality. God help the kid that grows up gay in your house and God help you when they deal with you in your old age.
I don't live in New York. There are much more important issues than gay marriage. What are you trying to do divert attention from an immoral and illegal war, a culture of corruption, and failed leadership that is eliminating the middle class and enriching the wealthiest and most powerful in our country.
Whoever wins the election, modern America is going to continue to support gays. Eventually, marriage between gays will be legal. Being against it will not prevent the coming change. Eliot Spitzer has done more to hold the big corporations accountable than any other person.
