I give it ten years for gay activist to successfully sue the board of ed to include same sex children books in their curriculum.
Your thoughts? Now that Iowa is pro gay marriage, how long before children's books are rewritten to accommodate this reality?
That long? I'd be willing to bet that it come up around 2010, just in time for the next election. Now that Iowa is pro gay marriage, how long before children's books are rewritten to accommodate this reality?
Um, there are schools in this country that have same sex books in their libraries. You might be shocked but the novel ';Fried Green Tomatoes'; is considered a lesbian novel. There are numerous books in school libraries that are gay in nature, but many don't know that's what they are.
As for children's books, there is no need for any of them to be rewritten because there are books out there and there will be more in the future.
you must be from CA, because children's books were a big part of prop 8... anyway, if there really are any books specifically like that, I would say a change in the next ten years since most books are national/semi-national.
The wording that the SUPREMES used would allow for Polygamy. There is no difference in their interpretation of ';discrimination';.
This is a Pandora's box.
These books more than likely have already been printed a few years ago ! Bill Ayers I`m sure is always prepared to demonize morality in all areas` of American family life !
yes, how horrible it is to treat all people equally
After all, the basis of the US is discrimination and hate mongering
Well, it is a reality, so someone will write one. There are plenty of books already.
Hopefully not as long as it took them to start including African American history.
They still haven't wrote that children's book on divorce.
So much for PERSONAL FREEDOM. Social Conservatives!
I am just glad my kids will not be in public schools 10 years from now.
Why are these two related? Way too much right wing radio, beo...way. No kiddin'!
A sign of the times, my friend.
